Be sure to read the fine print when you are considering opening a new Chase account. Most sign up bonus offers require you to make a minimum deposit, and you need to keep the account open for at least six months or early termination fees will apply. So just be sure to meet the specific requirements for each account.
You should also know that sign up bonuses are usually considered interest and will be reported to the IRS via IRS Form 1099-INT. I received my bonus in about two weeks after meeting the requirements.
