For frequent flyers worldwide, the Chase British Airways Visa Signature® Card is offering a tiered welcome bonus of up to 100,000 bonus Avios.
New applicants can earn 50,000 bonus Avios after spending $3,000 within the first three months.
Then, earn an additional 25,000 bonus Avios after spending a total of $10,000 within the first year. This includes the $3,000 you already spent for the first tier.
Finally, earn an additional 25,000 bonus Avios after spending a total of $20,000 within the first year. This includes the $20,000 you’ve already spent in the first and second tiers.
Keep in mind that you don’t have to reach every tier if you don’t want to spend that much on the card. If you prefer, you can just spend $3,000 and earn the 50,000 bonus Avios. Or you can spend $10,000 in a year and get 75,000 bonus Avios. Nonetheless, you have plenty of time to earn your bonus Avios.
If you don’t meet the full spending requirement, you’ll still benefit by earning 3X Avios on British Airways purchases and 1X Avios for every dollar spent on all other purchases.
The British Airways Visa Signature® Card has a $95 annual fee. There’s no additional fee to add authorized users.
Fortunately, this card isn’t subjected to Chase’s 5/24 restriction. This means you can be approved even if you’ve opened five or more new card accounts in the past 24 months.
Wondering why you’d need points for the frequent flyer program of the United Kingdom’s largest airline? These British Airways points, called Avios, are more valuable than they may seem at first glance. You can use them on British Airways flights, but they also have many more uses that are worth your points.
