Style
The Langham’s 60-story glass building, we were greeted with a yellow-lit reception desk, modern fireplace, a dramatic winding staircase, and two enormous oil paintings by New York City artist Alex Katx. The contemporary feel emanates throughout the hotel in the neutral-tone oak, limestone and onyx, reflecting the vibrancy, sophistication and culture of New York City itself.
Rooms
The 214 rooms and suites at the Langham start at a spacious 400 square feet, styled to have a resident feel with some boasting full stainless-steel kitchens and laundry machines. Additionally, all guestrooms feature Italian walnut furnishings, luxurious Swedish Damiana beds, Pratesi Linens, and marble baths with rani showerheads, soaking tubs, and Lorenzo Villoresi Firenze for Botega bath amenities.
Lastly, we stayed in the Executive Room, a large one-bedroom with a sitting area, a walk-in wardrobe, and a full kitchen featuring Miele appliances. From the large windows, we had lovely city views of midtowns and Fifth Avenue below.
Facilities
Relax and rejuvenate at Chuan Body + Soul with a co-ed lounge space and a hydrotherapy circuit which includes a sauna, steam room, ice cave, and salt sauna. Plus, face, skin, and body treatments are inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine and were created in collaboration with Kerstin Florian.
Close by, the 24-hour, 2,000 square food fitness center provides TechnoGym Excite equipment, free weights, and Fitness on Demand classes.
Food & Drink
Although limited, the Langham offers fantastic food and drink options. This is led by renowned chef Michael White, Michelin-starred Ai Fiori showcases French and Italian Riviera cuisine with a modern twist. Furthermore, the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 24-hour room service. Their spaghetti with blue crab is amazing and one of the best pastas around.
Bar Fiori is an inviting lounge with an extensive cocktail and wine list. Guests are able to pick small plates from the bar menu, or order from the full Ai Fiori menu. Their English Milk Punch is immaculate. Plus, it comes with a clarified milk base, served with a large round ice cube and garnished with a sprinkle of edible wild flowers.
