Style
Upon entering the visually-striking tower, you’re greeted by a sparkling grand chandelier dripping with Swarovski crystals, sleek marble floors and a luxuriously plush seating area. Attention to detail defined the property, with fresh roses adorning the reception desk, as well as custom-made furniture and carpeting throughout. The lavish hotel boasted stunning art from Fertitta’s private collection, which gave the property a museum-quality vibe.
Room
All 250 rooms and suites at the Post Oak Hotel are sleek and ultra-modern, lavishly equipped with five-fixture deluxe bathrooms, state-of-the-art technology and separate lounging areas with unsurpassed views of the Houston skyline.
The 526-square-foot Luxury King Room boasted luxurious amenities, like 500-count bed linens, oversized Egyptian cotton towels, a Technogym personal wellness rack, logo flip flops for the pool, and an all-white marble bathroom with custom-beaded crystal light fixtures and Acqua Di Parma toiletries. Modern features included a TV that seamlessly disappeared into the credenza, Bluetooth-enabled in-ceiling speakers, complimentary iPads, and push-button drapes, temperature and light controls.
The little functional design touches didn’t go unnoticed. You’ll love the ring holder on the bathroom counter and make use of the marble toe ledge in the shower while shaving.
Facilities
Surrounded by chic cabanas and contemporary chaise lounges, the outdoor pool area offers a stylish setting to laze in the sun. The 24-hour fitness center featured Technogym cardio and strength-training equipment, as well as Peloton bikes, Lululemon accessories and personal trainers by appointment. A salon was also onsite, providing hair cuts and styling along with nail services and skincare treatments.
But the star of the property was The Spa at The Post Oak Hotel. The 20,000-square-foot space is an urban sanctuary with tranquility pools, aromatherapy-infused steam rooms, detoxifying saunas, multi-sensory thermal showers and quiet lounges with zero gravity chairs.
Other services and amenities include a 35,000-square-foot conference facility and meeting space, a library stocked with Assouline books, a ready-to-wear boutique and complimentary chauffeured transportation in a Bentley or Rolls Royce within a two-mile radius.
Food & Drink
For dining, there was Mastro’s with acclaimed steakhouse cuisine and live entertainment in an elegant yet energetic atmosphere, Willie G’s Seafood for contemporary Gulf Coast fare made with local, seasonal ingredients, Bloom & Bee with creative, sustainable dishes under an elaborate canopy of glass-blown flowers, and Craft F&B for elevated comfort food and pub-style bites in a modern-industrial space. Parisian-inspired treats were served at Bouchée Patisserie, while the staff at H Bar poured fine spirits and shook up exotic cocktails. Impressively, The Cellar at The Post Oak housed 30,000 bottles of wine $5 million in inventory of over 3,500 labels from nearly 25 countries.
Adding convenience to luxury, the hotel allowed us to order from any of the onsite restaurants and was able to deliver to your room or anywhere else on the property.
