I recently applied for a Chase card while reserving airline tickets on Southwest airlines. The promotion indicated a $200 statement credit, 10,000 bonus points for charged purchases of $500 (which I more than achieved with my airline ticket purchase) and $0 annual fee. I have now received my statement and none of the above has been applied to my account. After discussing this with a telephone agent, I was advised…. “they would have to look into it and I should get a letter of explanation in the mail within 7-10 days.” Buyers…beware!
