- Qualification bonus ($195). Get a one-time 15,000-point bonus when you reach Mosaic status. We estimate that will be worth around $195 based off of our recent evaluation.
- Points bonus ($234). Gain 6 points for every dollar spent on JetBlue flights. This is 3 points more per $1 compared to non-status members. Based on a $6,000 total spend, you can earn an extra 18,000 points (worth #234).
- Take 3 and Lucky 7 bonuses ($156). Earn more bonuses when you finish a specific amount of paid JetBlue flights, partners not included. Take 3 gives you 5,000 bonus points when you fly 3 round-trip flights. Lucky 7 will give you 7,000 bonus points after 7 roundtrip flights. Altogether, you’ll be able to earn 12,000 points.

- Free checked bags ($250). Get 2 free checked bags for you and others traveling on the same itinerary. This can be used with Blue and Blue Basic, one of the lowest fares since they don’t offer checked bags. JetBlue charges you $30 for the first bag and $40 for the second.
- Priority airport services ($200). Enjoy priority check-in security and boarding at tons of JetBlue airports. Even though this isn’t the most valuable benefit, it’s still nice to have.

- Waived change and cancellation fees ($400). Change or cancel your JetBlue flight without any fees, at any time (except Blue Basic tickets). Many other carriers only offer this perk for top-tier members and only on award tickets.

Is JetBlue Mosaic Elite Status Worth It?
Based off of our analysis above, is it worth pursuing? Here are some questions you should ask yourself to help you make up your mind.
- Does JetBlue fly to where you want to go? Mosaic status isn’t worth it if you don’t fly with JetBlue regularly. CHeck JetBlue’s service from your home airport and see how easily you can get to your destinations.
- Do Mosaic perks matter to you? It doesn’t make sense to work for their status unless the perks are worthwhile.
- How often do you travel? If you aren’t a frequent flyer, then Mosaic status isn’t worth it for you. Perks only apply to when you’re traveling.
- Do you prioritize price and convenience? Will you still use JetBlue even though it’s not the cheapest option? Or the most convenient one? Would you still book a JetBlue flight with one stop over a cheaper, nonstop flight with someone else? If you don’t want to trade price and convenience for status perks, then Mosaic isn’t worth it.
- Could you get the same perks with a credit card? Like we said before, the JetBlue Plus Card comes with several elite perks that can cover your needs with a small annual fee. Additionally, you can earn Mosaic status with the card when you spend $50,000 in one year.
