- Apply for SLFCU membership online or at a branch. If you have a referral code, add it to your online application where indicated, or give it to the SLFCU representative with whom you are meeting. - The Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union (SLFCU) New Member Bonus Offer is available for a limited time only. SLFCU reserves the right to modify, extend, or terminate the Offer at any time without prior notice. The offer is limited to a new SLFCU member (“New Member”) receiving one (1) $150 New Member Bonus Offer (“Offer”) and, optionally, one (1) $50 Referral Reward (“Reward”) through SLFCU’s Refer a Friend Program. The New Member must provide the referral code before the application process is complete when applying for membership at an SLFCU branch. If applying online, the referral code must be entered into the membership application form where indicated.
- To receive the Offer, the New Member must be at least 18 years old, reside in the United States, and agree to the terms and conditions of the Offer. The New Member must meet SLFCU membership eligibility requirements.
- For a New Member to receive the $150 Offer, they must not have been an SLFCU member within the past 180 days. They must open a new membership at SLFCU with a minimum deposit of $1, open a Quick Cash or Money Manager Checking account, and establish recurring ACH direct deposits of at least $100. All the above requirements must be met within the first 60 days of establishing membership.
- When all the above requirements are met, the New Member will receive an additional $50 Reward if they have been referred by an Existing Member that meets the requirements described within the terms and conditions of the Refer a Friend Program. The Existing Member will also get a $50 reward at that time. Offer and Rewards will be deposited into the member’s primary savings account within 40 days of all requirements being met. Accounts must be in good standing at the time of Offer and Reward.
- SLFCU employees who meet all Offer requirements are eligible to participate as a New Member. SLFCU employees can participate as a referring person but are not eligible to receive a $50 Reward. If an SLFCU employee refers another SLFCU employee, neither employee is eligible to receive a $50 Reward. New Members, excluding SLFCU employees, referred by an SLFCU employee will still receive their Offer and Reward as per the conditions of the Refer a Friend Program.
- Tax implications may apply to awarded bonus. - A parent or guardian’s contact information must be provided. SLFCU will contact the teen directly only if a parent/guardian gives permission to do so.
- Permission must be provided for SLFCU to make changes or edits to the article prior to publication.
- By submitting an article for consideration, both the parent or guardian and the teen are providing permission to SLFCU to publish the article in print and electronic publications.
- If their article is chosen for publication, SLFCU may request a photo of the teen.
- By providing a photo, the parent or guardian and teen give SLFCU permission to use the teen’s name and photograph in connection with the published article.
- If an article is not selected, SLFCU may contact the parent or guardian with suggestions for the teen to improve the article.
- If the article is selected, SLFCU may contact the parent or guardian to discuss edits.
- In addition, SLFCU may ask the parent or guardian to convey any questions or clarifications regarding the article.
- The teen should work in a timely manner to provide SLFCU with edits to facilitate publication.
- After selection and final edits are complete, SLFCU will coordinate with the parent or guardian to deposit $100 to the teen’s SLFCU checking or savings account, or generate a check made payable to the teen and mail to the address on file for the teen’s SLFCU account.
- Tax liability on prize monies is the responsibility of the recipient.
