Alfursan Elite Status
When you sign up with Alfursan, you’ll become a Blue member. Above Blue are two status tiers: Silver and Gold. If you want to move up a tier, you’ll need to get a specific amount of Status Miles or fly a certain number of international sectors in one calendar year.

When you compare this to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan, Delta SkyMiles, and other frequent flyer programs in the U.S. earning Alfursan Miles isn’t the easiest. Here are some ways you can build up on Alfursan Miles:
Transfer Partners
The best way to earn Alfursan Miles is with transfer partners. Marriott Bonvoy members will be able to conver their points to Alfursan Miles at a 3:1 ratio. With a 5,000 mile bonus for every 60,000 Marriott Points they transfer.

There are more options to earn Alfursan Miles. However, they aren’t relevant to those living in the United States.
Redeeming Alfursan Miles
Most Alfursan members will be able to use their miles for award flights with Saudia and partner airlines. This will cover more than 1,150 destinations in 175 countries. Award fare depends on flight zone and booking class. See the miles redemption table here.
The only other option is to redeem for a one-class upgrade on domestic and international Saudia flights.
Alfursan Miles Expiration
Alfursan Miles are valid for three years from the end of the calendar year in which they were earned. Miles do not extend with earn and burn activity. So, you should use them within the three years of earning them before they disappear.
Alfursan Tips & Tricks
Family Member Program. This miles-pooling benefit is very generous. It enables the head of the household to round up miles with up to eight other members, this will include immediate relatives and children over 2, but private drivers and housemaids.
Booking Considerations. Remember, Alfursan will not allow any stopovers. One-way awards will be 60% of roundtrip flights, and change fees are low. Just $27 for domestic itineraries and $67 for international.

There are lots of other frequent flyer programs that have more value compared to Saudia Airlines Alfursan. Membership can be useful if you often fly within the Middle East or if your have lots of Marriott Bonvoy points.
