I took out a CD at WAU/First National Bank, on line, about 13 months ago….they did an interbank transfer. No problem & no charge. I told them when it reached maturity I would like to close the account and transfer the money back to my account. I was informed that they do NOT do interbank transfers back to my bank. The list of options WAU presented was 4…ranging in cost to me of $10 to $99. NO OTHER OPTIONS !!!!! WAU make is easy for them to get your money but it will cost you to get it back. Be forewarned. I will NEVER do business with a bank that charges you to get your money back. Rip off. Usury. and bad business.
This is what the WAU/First National Bank sent me: FedEx First Overnight $98.91….FedEx Priority Overnight $34.31…..FedEx Standard Overnight $28.59……FedEx 2 Day $12.96……FedEx Ground $9.37
You do not make much interest these days on any financial bank product offered. WAU thinks it necessary to feed FedEX a portion of the meagre interest you have made to a company that is making a bloody fortune this past year…..and to come. WAU is NOT your friendly bank…..once they have your money, good luck getting it back without giving up some of your earnings.
